Sportsfix was created by a group of students from the College of Sports Media with the intent of providing sports fans with fresh news and analysis. The site features columns, blogs, features and podcasts on all the sports fans care about. "We wanted an avenue to express all the sports information fans deserve, and this website was the perfect idea" creator Tomer Berman said, "Fans can now get in depth info on fantasy sports, pro sports, amateur athletes, anything they want with the click of a button". The popularity of the site will be driven by the frequency of new content. New podcasts and articles are updated every single day, and features and the fan of the week are changed every Friday. "The reason the site works is because it can entertain everyone. If you're at work and just have time to glance at an article, its here. If you've got time to kill and want to listen to a whole podcast thats here too." writer and NCAA Hoops host Ryan Bolta said, "No matter what your need is, sportsfix is here to fill it". Though the site was created by the group from CSM, it also features writers from Ottawa University, Seneca College, Guelph-Humber, Sheridan and other schools. "The people contributing to the site are either in school, or graduated recently. It gives us a great avenue to display our talents, while informing sports hungry fans about the athletes and teams they love to follow" said Nelson Granados from the NBA's Jumpball podcast. The website was created in September of 2008. For any suggestions contact us at info@sportsfix.ca |
